Opera star delighted by stranger who stood up in the audience and started singing with her.
Soprano Lisette Oropesa was performing an encore at the end of her recital,
singing the female part from "Sempre libera" from "La traviata". The song is
a duet, sung between Violetta (soprano) and Alfredo (tenor), but she was
performing it solo. When the tenor part arrived and no one was there to sing
opposite her, Liu Jianwei, a student at the Conservatorio di Musica G.Nicolini,
stood up from the audience and filled in the gap.
Later after the concert Liu approached Oropesa to apologize. She took photos
with him and gave him her autograph.
